Privacy policy

Placeholder

This is a placeholder summary while our full privacy policy is being finalised with legal counsel. It is not the final policy. It gives you an honest, high-level view of how Gyatra handles data today. The wording, and the full detail, may change when the complete policy is published.

Gyatra is a career interest, personality and aptitude assessment for K-12 schools, made by IRAA Software Solution. Because we work with children's data, we try to be plain about what we collect and why. Here is the short version.

What we collect

To run the assessment and show a report, we hold a small, purposeful set of information:

  • A student's name, grade or class, their answers, and their results.
  • A guardian phone number, where a school provides one, so a report can reach the right family.
  • Staff accounts for the counsellors and administrators who run Gyatra at a school.

We do not ask students for more than we need to produce their report.

Why we collect it

The purpose is simple: to run the assessment and support guidance. Answers become results, results become a report, and that report helps a counsellor and a family have a better-informed conversation about interests, streams and careers. We do not use this information to advertise to anyone.

Children's data

Every student who takes Gyatra is a minor. We treat that seriously:

  • We work through schools, who introduce Gyatra to students and families.
  • Sensitive results stay with counsellors. Deeper signals such as aptitude and social-emotional indicators are kept on the counsellor side and are not shown directly to parents.
  • Reports are written to be honest and growth-framed, never a label on a child.

The camera

In supervised mode, a school may choose to show a student's camera on screen for presence only, so a supervisor can see the student is the one taking the assessment. No video is ever recorded or saved. The camera view is not stored, streamed for later viewing, or attached to a report.

Sharing

We share data with a small set of service providers that help us run the platform, such as hosting and infrastructure, and only as needed to operate the service. We do not sell data, we run no advertising, and we use no third-party tracking or analytics that follow students around the web.

Security

We build with a few basic protections in place:

  • Per-school isolation, so each school sees only its own students.
  • Two-step login for staff accounts.
  • Encrypted connections for data moving between your browser and our servers.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will describe our safeguards more fully in the final policy.
